Vida Hollywood’s convenient location makes it easy for you to take advantage of one or more local biking trails. Here are just a few that you may want to consider trying out.
Marvin Braude Bike Trail
The Marvin Braude Bike Trail is ideal for anyone who enjoys waterfront scenery. The 22-mile path starts at Will Rogers State Beach, passes through Manhattan Beach and ends at Torrance County Beach. While there are some parts of the trail where pedestrians are allowed to walk, most of the trail is only for bicycles, making it easy to enjoy the view without having to worry about pedestrians.
Ballona Creek Bike Path
This short 7-mile path is a great option if you only have time for a short ride. It starts a few blocks from the Culver City Expo Line and ends at the Pacific Ocean. The route may be a bit treacherous during the winter but is great for any other time of the year.
There are a number of paved paths along the L.A. River. Individuals who appreciate nature’s beauty are sure to enjoy riding through Canoga Park, Marsh Park, Rattlesnake Park or Elysian Valley’s Egret Park. Alternatively, a rider who wants to take a break from a long ride and grab a bite to eat before setting out again will find the bike path running through Frogtown restaurant and cafe to be ideal. There are 51 miles of bike trails along this route and the paths aren’t all connected so study a map before you set out and choose your starting point and destination with care.
Griffith Park Loops
If you’re looking for a challenging bike ride, look no further than Griffith Park Loops. You can ride up Mt. Hollywood Drive or Crystal Springs Drive, ride through canyons, cover native chaparral and more.
